World AIDS Day Event:  Sponsored by Whittier Street Health Center in collaboration with WCAC, Inc. Multicultural AIDS Coalition, Healing Our Land, and Whittier Street HIV programs.

Key Leader Advisory Meeting:  Sponsored by Abbott Laboratories,  The meeting is designed to allow for personal interaction with Mrs. Cookie Johnson, wife of Earvin Magic Johnson, entrepreneur and NBA legend.

WCAC, Inc. Open House; Sponsored by WCAC, Inc.  The Open House was to increase community awareness about WCAC services and commitment.

Stepping Up In The Fight Against HIV: Sponsored by Healing Our Land Article in Boston Sunday Globe, City & Region B3.  Walked in the fight against HIV/AIDS in communities of color.

Family Health Fair; Sponsored by WCAC, Inc. Event was held at the Shelbourne Recreation Community Center, 2730 Washington Street in Roxbury.  Live jazz band, Frederick Hayes Dance Company, free food, Counseling & Testing, health screenings, prizes and games.  Over 200 participants enjoyed the day.

June 27-28, 2000
National HIV Testing Day: Boston Globe Article:  Sponsored by WCAC and funded by the National Association of People with AIDS,  The two day event offered health care screenings for blood pressure, diabetes, tuberculosis, hepatitis, pregnancy, HIV counseling and testing.  Additionally, recreational activities including music, food games for children.  Approximately 370 individuals participated.

Health Jam 2000 Steppin in the fall with something for all y'all:  Sponsored by WCAC and Politicin With the Sisters, a project of JRI Health funded by HRSA.  Approximately 500 individuals including youth 12-25 were in attendance.

Second annual Summit on Collaboration for Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services for HIV Positive Women: Sponsored by WCAC and the Health Resources and Services Administration- Bureau of Primary Health Care. Approximately 200 health care and social service providers, and other allied professionals attended.

April 8 & 9, 1994
First Annual Summit-Breaking the Silence: Voices of HIV Positive Women of Color Living the Reality and  Keynote address by the former Surgeon General Dr. Joycelyn Elders: Over 250 women and their families from across the state were in attendance.
 
October 6, 1993
HIV Service Providers Meeting: Sponsored by WCAC in conjunction with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health- HIV/AIDS Bureau and the Medical Foundation. Over twenty provider agencies providers were presented.

Women, AIDS and the Workplace: Legal Issues:  Sponsored by WCAC in conjunction with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health- HIV/AIDS Bureau and the Medical Foundation. Approximately 60-70 women were in attendance.

Release of Interim Project Report: This interim report summarizes the policy and programmatic recommendations of the WCAC, which includes consumers, representatives of AIDS service organizations and state agency officials. It was prepared to help guide the MDPH request for funding review process.

Healing Mind Body & Spirit- evening for women infected & affected by HIV/AIDS: Sponsored by WCAC and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health- HIV/AIDS Bureau.  Hundred plus women & their children attended.

Focus Group Facilitator Training: Facilitators were trained to assist with focus groups for HIV positive women in order to conduct a needs assessment developed by WCAC in collaboration with Massachusetts Department of Public Health- HIV/AIDS Bureau- HIV/AIDS Bureau.
