The overall goal of Women's Voices Women's Lives: Erotic Safer Sex is to empower women to learn to make positive choices to protect themselves, their health and their future. It is a prevention education and skills building program based on a documentary of four African American women living with HIV. The documentary tells stories of their life choices and situations that led to their contracting HIV. Women in the documentary describe the negative impact of HIV on their lives, including; mistreatment by family and friends, poor health, children born HIV positive and their struggle for self-worth. Erotic safer sex was added to give group participants tools and games on how to enjoy erotic safer sex. The curriculum is educational, informational and skills building. The last part of the curriculum is a booster session to regroup all participants throughout the fiscal year to fill out a survey to find out if tools learned are still useful and what they cannot use. The booster session is a time for celebrating and socializing.

"Good Spirits" Evening of Beauty by MAC Fund"

Thanks to MAC Fund WCAC, Inc. hosted an "Evening of Beauty" at the women's drop-center. The make overs are personally implemented by highly-trained MAC makeup artists, some of the most renowned artists in the world. MAC artists volunteer their time to teach women and men simple makeup techniques and help them enhance their appearance and minimize skin problems. All recipients received makeup tips on day and evening makeup use. The ladies not only looked great but feel better and actually gain self-confidence. In line with the mission of WCAC, Inc. the MAC Fund believes in promoting ones own health and well-being. The evening was enjoyed by all celebrating with music, snacks, and socializing.
